Breast cancer treatments cut later risks, study indicates

SAN FRANCISCO — Treating early breast cancers with radiation and
drugs, in addition to removing part of the breast itself,
significantly decreases the risk of developing a more invasive form
of cancer 15 years later, according to a new Stanford University
study.



Breast cancer experts said the study should be reassuring to
women who are diagnosed with early breast cancer, in the sense that
their long-term outlook is very good with all three
