In March, 5-year-old Leah Fernandes, of Norton, started to complain that she had headaches.
For a few days she kept saying her head hurt. Children often have aches and pains that are easily explained away so it didn’t raise any red flags at first.
Her parents, Peter and Rhiannon Fernandes, weren’t overly alarmed as Leah’s five-year annual check up was in a few days and they felt they could address their concerns then.
